The Payroll Account Manager processes payroll for clients in compliance with all related employee compensation, deduction, and tax regulations. This position also processes payroll in accordance with client pay schedules and client requirements, while providing excellent customer service.

DUTIES

  • Coordinate work flow and procedures for processing payroll for each client.
  • Customize service according to client desires and needs (e.g. cost coding, departmental reports, etc.)
  • Contact client to obtain information for payroll processing
  • Research and resolve all client questions, issues and problems using the appropriate resources and processes
  • Process ACH deposits
  • Enter payroll accurately and timely to meet client schedules
  • Ensure payroll is error-free by carefully checking work according to established standards
  • Maintain payroll data by entering changes and deductions per client request
  • Enter new hire information including all applicable EEO data for reporting
  • Verify invoices and billing reports following verification checklist with each payroll
  • Verify invoice and payment amounts for each payroll and ensure payment is received within the required time frame

Assist teammates as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three (3) years office experience with data entry, payroll processing customer service, human resources and/or problem resolution skills preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution, including mathematical concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as pay based on number of hour, weeks, taxes, deduction, reimbursement, etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • bility to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.


If not already certified, must attain Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) within 1 year of hire.

Physical Demands: Typical office work is required for this position. Standard office abilities, such as manual dexterity with computers, office copy/fax/scan equipment and check printer are all necessary skills, as well as the handling of checks, reports and delivery procedures.
